As a specialist practice the aim of our first visit is to meet you and your child and complete a thorough clinical dental examination, including an assessment of risk factors such as diet and oral hygiene practices. We also advise whether further information such as x-rays are required and discuss our findings and the management options in detail with you.

Every child is different and will respond to a new environment in their own way. We will carefully assess the ability of your child to accept dental care. It is for this reason we are not able to offer treatment at the first visit.

It is beneficial, whenever possible, to avoid bringing other siblings or friends with you to appointments. This will allow everyone involved to focus their attention solely on your child at their consultation or treatment visits.

Children can be apprehensive for many reasons. Gaining confidence in the dental setting is as important as having the necessary treatment completed. Our Paediatric Dentists take pride in achieving this goal with your child.
