Welcome to our specialist paediatric dental practice. Our paediatric dentists are Drs Margarita Silva, Jane Lee and Debra Elsby. Our entire team is committed to the prevention of oral disease and the provision of quality, affordable and comprehensive dental care for children of all ages.

Drs Silva, Lee and Elsby use a team approach with their support staff to provide professional care in a child friendly environment. Good oral health in children is a partnership between the dentist, parent and child. Our approach includes dental dietary and oral hygiene advice, long term treatment planning-including orthodontic and other specialist referrals as well as care and management of dental disease.
Our “tell, show, do” technique is widely recognised as the preferred method to introduce children to dental care.

We offer in-clinic dental treatment,  occasionally with sedation, and specialist dental treatment under general anaesthetic in a hospital setting, if your child requires this type of care.

Every visit begins with a comprehensive oral examination where our paediatric dentists will discuss your child’s oral health needs with you in detail. This includes growth and development (crowding), oral habits that can cause long term damage to the development of a good bite and diagnosis of cavities, gum conditions and prevention.

Drs Silva, Lee and Elsby are active in teaching at The University of Melbourne and continuing education for dentists, and contribute to many organizations. They are all members of the Australian Dental Association, Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD). All three have held positions on the executive committee of the Victorian branch of ANZSPD. Dr Silva is a past president and Dr Elsby is presently the treasurer.
